  Terumasa Ikeda served Hideyoshi Toyotomi and he became the lord of Mikawa-Yoshida Castle for his distinguished military service in the attack against Odawara Castle. Terumasa married one of Ieyasu’s daughters, and was given an important position as Ieyasu's son-in-law.

  Terumasa joined the army to fight in the Aizu conquest and he captured Gifu Castle which was his castle. At the battle of Sekigahara, Terumasa Ikeda took up his position near the graves of Shunno and Anno.
