On the early morning of September 15, Ieyasu moved his headquarters from Akasaka to Mt.Momokubari with 30, 000 soldiers. Then Ieyasu moved the headquarters to Jimbano because the WESTERN ARMY had not moved from Mt.Nangu after 9:00am.
In addition, Prince Ooama took to the field at Mt.Momokubari in the Jinshin war(672). Prince Ooama distributed asian bog myrtles to his soldiers, who then won the war. Legend says, he was so superstitious that he took up his position at Mt.Momokubari.
At the foot of Mt.Momokubari, there are two rocks named 'Koshikake Iwa' (Rock for sitting) and '' Tukue IwaRock (to hold a council of war).
