   The West burial mound for heads is about 12 minutes' walk west from Sekigahara station, along National Route 21 on the right. Ieyasu ordered Shigekado Takenaka to make the West burial mound for heads. He buried the soldiers of the WESTERN ARMY and soldiers without a head.          
   For this reason, the West burial mound for heads is called the Mound for Severed Torso. In those days the area was about 23,100 , now it’s 30m in circumference.

There are two memorial halls in front of the mound to hold memorial services for soldiers
