  Mitsunari gave the order to light the beacon for the west military all-out attack. If Mori and Kobayakawa saw the beacon, they would run down the mountain, as they had promised to attack the EASTERN ARMY from the side.

  At that time Masaie Natsuka and Ekei Ankokuji took up their position at the foot of Mt.Nangu. The moment they saw the beacon they sent an express messenger to Hidemoto Mori, and urged to join the army.
  Hidemoto Mori tried to take the field, but Hiroie Kikkawa strongly believed that it wasn’t good for Mori family to take to the field. Also Yoshikawa’s forces were spread out in front of Mori’s forces, and he was not able to move.
   Before the battle Hiroie Kikkawa sent a message to Ieyasu via Nagamasa Kuroda, that  pledged battle nonparticipation of Mori.  Hiroie begged for the pardon of Terumoto Mori and relief for Mori’s territory.
Hideaki Kobayakawa at Mt Matsuo promised to betray Mitsunari for Ieyasu before the fight.

  Sadaharu Okudaira prompted Hideaki to betray Mitsunari, because he was sent from Ieyasu Tokugawa to monitor. But Hideaki Kobayakawa decided to abstain, and he did not move the military in the morning,
  After noon Ieyasu shot a gun into the camp of Hideaki. and that made Hideaki panic. So he decided to join the EASTERN ARMY.
 However, Hideaki’s retainer, Shuba Matsuno(Shigemoto), distrust him, and left the battlefront.
 Big army of 16,000 soldiers under Hideaki ran down a mountain, And swooped down a camp of Yoshitsugu Otani.

 
Yoshitugu predicted betrayal of Hideaki and was putting line, but at first Yasuharu Wakisaka joined the West ARMY. following Yoshitsugu Otani. but switched to the EASTERN ARMY.along with Mototsuna Kutuki, Suketada Ogawa and Naoyasu Akaza in concert with Hideaki Kobayakawa.
 Tamehiro Hiratsuka, Shigemasa Toda and others had died in battle, at last Yoshitugu committed suicide.
 Destruction of Yoshitsugu Otani forces caused by the betrayal of Hideaki was, however, followed by the destruction of the Konishi forces due to the attack from the Kobayakawa army, and then Yukinaga escaped from the battle to Mt. Ibuki.
 Alsp the forces of Masanori Fukushima succeeded in beating the Ukita force, despite receiving serious damage.
 At 14pm a solitary and helpless Ishida forces fought valiantly until the end, therefore, Mitsunari escaped from the battle to Mt. Ibuki.

 In addition, Shimazu forces with about 300 soldiers orced their way through in front of camp of Ieyasu, and escaped until Utozaka. Naomasa Ii of the EASTERN ARMY , Tadakatsu Honda and others chased Yoshihiro Shimazu persistently.
 By the strategy of desperation of nephew to Toyohisa Shimazu, Yoshihiro was able to come back to Satsuma with 80 soldiers
